Welcome to Staff Development

Staff Development Days are Wednesday, October 14 and Thursday, October 15.

Day 1 will begin with breakfast in the Rocklin Conference Center starting at 8:00 am. The College wide updates will start at 9:00 am and a zoom link will be provided for those joining from a distance. If you need accommodations or have dietary requests for breakfast, please contact Jackie Plendl at jackie.plendl@witcc.edu.

Food trucks (Smash Burgers, Kai Thai and the Corn Dog Company) will be on campus near Entrance 4 for lunch and as a special treat. There will be games and socializing!

Don’t forget to wear your 60th Anniversary Shirt for the all employee picture at 10:15 am by the Soccer Field!

There will be dedicated time from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm for employees to complete the required annual trainings through Vector Solutions. Those required to complete the training should have received an email with more information.

Day 2 will begin at 9:00 am. Faculty will start in the Rocklin Conference Center before going to assigned rooms. Staff will start in the Comet Learning Center for the Roundtable Event.

Thursday afternoon includes several sessions specifically designed for faculty. For staff, this time offers some intentional flexibility. Work with your manager to decide how you or your team can make the most of the afternoon. You might catch up on a project, work together as a department, complete a training, or explore another professional development opportunity. We hope you’ll use this time in a way that feels meaningful, productive, and valuable to you and your team.

We’ll wrap up Staff Development with Rush Hour Connect from 4:30-6:30 pm. Join us for this Chamber event as we celebrate Western Iowa Tech’s 60th Anniversary, connect with community members, and welcome Dr. Terry Lindsay.
