Not everyone is comfortable managing conflict, addressing classroom behaviors can be stressful and and unpredictable. Your work performance (in and out of the classroom) may be affected as well as how you perceive the student(s) involved. We're here to help.

The Dean of Students office is able to help you determine a direction or recommend resources to help you in addressing any behavioral issues you have in the classroom up to and including mediation or removing a student from the classroom. Students can also be referred to the Dean of Students office directly to seek resources or guidance in these matters.
Western Iowa Tech Campus Safety is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The safety team is staffed with trained professionals that are available to assist staff members or students in need of immediate assistance.
All directors, deans, and chairs are available to consult in putting together a plan of action or support for faculty or students in need of it. This may include utilizing campus or other resources, attending meetings with the student(s), or assisting faculty or staff in working through an issue.
The ACE is a valuable resource for faculty. The resources and staff of the ACE are available to all faculty at Western Iowa Tech. Reach out to them for advice, resources, or other assistance.
